Girls Who Brunch Tour
Girls Who Brunch Tour is a community organization that works to cultivate, inspire, and empower girls ages 9-17 with panels, food, workshops, guest speakers, and awards.
Blush and Blazers was invited to lead an interactive workshop for a group of girls ages 15-17. The 45 minute session focused on conveying the importance of developing soft skills and tips of setting yourself up for success in your first job interview. We reinforced new concepts through mock interviews and coaching. At the sessions end, each girl left empowered with applicable strategies for presenting themselves in an interview.
Be Prepared & Mom’s Money Workshop
We are committed to supporting the community by providing accessible tools and resources on Career Development. That is why we have partnered with Aleshia Nicole, a.k.a “The Hustle Mom,” to provide free, quarterly workshops to the Philadelphia and surrounding communities.
These workshops focus on Career Development and Financial Literacy. We help participants define their “professional brand,” through the use of coaching, worksheets, and handouts. “The Hustle Mom” tackles topics such as budgeting, saving for retirement, and, improving credit scores. The result is that each participant will leave the workshop able to successfully position their professional skills for a potential interview and gain basic principles on personal finance.
